What you will experience on the ride
The ride leaves from the mountain refuge and moves through subantarctic forest, among lenga and ñire trees. The trail climbs into mountain terrain until the forest opens and Lago Escondido appears, ringed by the mountain range. The final stretch follows the lake shore, with water on one side and mountain on the other. The way back retraces the same trail to the refuge, the starting and finishing point of the ride.

The difference is how they end: the ride with a snack finishes with a country afternoon tea at the refuge, and the other one closes with a full traditional asado.
